I think the more people make music, the better. In a sense, access to cheap and somewhat 'easy' to use tools makes entry into making music something anyone can get into. a time when folk music really was made by folks. I'm sure at that time there were a lot more casual musicians then. Why would this make you mad? There was a time when if you wanted to hear music, you had to play it because there was no such thing as recorded music.

Of course a lot of it is going to be crap but if they enjoy doing it, why get mad at them? I'm an old dude who started editing audio with razor blades, but I don't get mad when I see kids growing up with Garageband. This is just as bad as the Waves One Knob collection, it makes it so anyone can make music.and most of those people shouldn't be anywhere near anything more complex than a kazoo.Why would this make you mad? I bother learning about dynamics, and how to use certain things in certain ways to get the sound you want, and this comes out and makes it easy for anyone to be able to do it.
